Making Sales On The Internet
Making Sales On The Internet
If you are interested in making sales on the Internet the bad news is there are a million and one ways to stuff things up.
The good news is that the Internet is a very simple and proven tool for lead generation and if you follow a few simple rules, you can make more sales on the Internet than you could possibly imagine.
Here Are 5 Keys To Making Sales On The Internet
1. To Build A HUGE Money Making Opt-In Email Newsletter. There is a famous saying amongst Internet Marketers - "The Money is in the List" In reality, that is only half true. The real money is in the relationship-of-trust that you take the time and effort to build and deserve with your list.
That said, there is nothing on earth that compares to the thrill that you can experience when you send an offer to your list and watch your 'In Box' fill up with orders!
2. To Create a 'Virtual' Tribe. With the advent of web2.0 the Internet landscape is undergoing rapid changes. Blogs like this one give people the opportunity to leave their feedback and give people a sense of belonging.
3. To Host Videos Of Client Testimonials. You can see an great example of this is some sales copy I wrote for a client over at www.BlogMastermind.com
4. To Offer Outstanding Value to Your Site Visitors and Establish You and YOUR Business As THE Authority in Your Industry. Stop and think about the 'average' business website for a moment… 99.9% of them are about as engaging as watching paint dry.
In fact, here is a good example of a business website that, in my opinion, reads like 'Chloroform in Print' http://www.cassy.com.au/
This site belongs to a Melbourne Accounting company and they are fortunate enough to be #1 for the term 'Melbourne Accounting'
But… take a quick look at the site.
It is dead, dull and boring.
Now - - Imagine this exact same site with something like www.InstantVideoGenerator.com and a decent message about "How to choose the best accountant for your business…"
Can you imagine the awesome difference something as simple as that one quick change would make?
It really isn't 'Rocket Science' is it?
Now take it a step further…
Imagine this same site with a few hundred articles about:
- Running a Business
- Marketing Tips
- Business Planning
- Advertising
- Hiring a Business Coach
- Direct Mail
- Choosing a Webmaster etc
Can you see how easily they could transform their site from dead, dull and boring to being something of outstanding value to the business community?
Can you see how making sales on the Internet would be ten - fifty even a hundred times easier with THAT kind of a site?
HINT: We do that kind of stuff with our Worlds Best Business Website Offer.
5. To Make Money Whilst You Sleep. I attended a seminar a while back. The speaker was supposed to be a 'Marketing Expert' I went with an open mind but midway through his presentation he made a statement that made me realize that he knew next to nothing about marketing…
"Now - everybody knows that you cant make money whilst you sleep!"
Hogwash!
I regularly make money whilst I sleep!
You can too!
Want A Few Examples?
- People can join your membership website (even if it is 3am in the morning on a Sunday!)
- You can sell e books whilst you are asleep.
- You can take booking for your Industry seminar, boot camp or workshop You can sell DVD's Courses, Manuals and Coaching Sessions
- In fact if you can sell something off line, the odds are you can sell it online AND get paid whilst you are sleeping.

Hey Chris
I totally agree with your comments about the Melbourne accounting website. It actually looks nice on the eye, but the big question is, "What is it actually doing for the owner of the website?" And that's what seems so strange to me.
There are soooo many websites out there that follows this "corporate" look and feel, but I wonder how effective these websites are for generating business, which at the end of the day, is really what it's all about. And my guess is that it's not doing much at all, other than looking pretty and providing some general information.
Thanks for your great tips.
