Premier moves Chinese amid quake effort

Leadership is something so rare these days. Let alone great leadership. I am really impressed by the Chinese leadership, especially Premier  Wen Jiabao  who has shown himself to be both  strong and compassionate.

The premier wept as he watched rescuers try to get two children out of the shattered remains of a primary school in Dujiangyan. Standing in rain showers, he yelled to the children through a crack: "I am grandpa Wen Jiabao. You will certainly pull through and be rescued."

Unselfish. Really impressive.

Millions of people here in Australia are praying for the Chinese people at this time - almost everyone I speak to has mentioned words to the effect that they feel heartbroken over the loss of life and the human suffering. As someone who has been to China 8 times and who has very close friends in China it has touched me deeply.
