Are we becoming the mySpace generation?
I just realised I have more peoples emails than I do phone numbers. I have added all my family and friends, (and by friends I mean people I have met and built relationships with in the real world), on MSN and mySpace. I never really call anyone anymore, I email and IM them. (It’s a bit hard to see most of my mates, I just moved 150 miles) But is this lack of real social interaction with the people that we care about going to lead to an antisocial future?
It is true computers are taking over reality…for example everywhere you go there are internet dating sites. Whatever happened to going to a bar and meeting a fella. At least you get the real deal. The only thing that worries me is you can be anyone you like on here, but when it comes to reality who are you really?
